Question Do you have a pantry or...

Is most of your stuff stored wherever you have room?

How I wish we had a seperate pantry where I could store everything in one place. As it is, I have stuff stored pretty much everywhere.

We have an island bar type thing in the middle of the kitchen. I have food in the cupboards under there, and in 5 more kitcen cupboards. We do have a large closet in the kitchen but the freezer is in there so the other stuff stored in there is hard to get so rarely used.

We have a free standing cabinet with 4 shelves that we use as our pantry.

I saw a tall thin cabinet that would fit between my fridge and the wall. It was about as tall as the fridge and maybe 22 in wide. ThaT would work so well!!! Maybe I'll ask 4 in in apr for my bday.

I have a huge walk in pantry (old house). I have my washer/dryer in there, shelves along the opposite wall- the shelves are 12 inches deep.

I also store food in the basement-- only canned goods though, generally homecanned goods. The basement gets wet when it rains, so boxed goods won't keep down there. I have a huge set of shelves in the basement that was there when we moved in, that I store my canned stuff on--and an chest freezer (works but we don't use it for a freezer) that we store some things in as well.

I have a small pantry in the kitchen and a large pantry downstairs that has tons of shelves and the freezer and second refrigerator. We built it that way - Planned it when we designed our walkout basement. I also planned a holiday items closet - its not finished yet but I personally thought it was pure genious!!

I wish we had a pantry. We do have lots of cabinets in the kitchen though which helps, but when we were living in KS we had a huge walk in pantry that I absolutely loved!!!! That is about the only thing I miss about that house....LOL!!!

We built our home 2 years ago and a large pantry was my main 'must have' I too have a lg room in my basement with shelving. I mostly use it as a gift closet with some pantry stuff. My kids call it the 'mall' since that's where I tend to 'shop from.' I have a holiday closet too.

We have a free standing pantry. When dh remodels our kitchen, he is making a large built-in pantry as part of the cabinets.

We have a huge laundry/utility room so dh has built some floor to ceiling storage units for there plus upper and lower cabinets. Tons and tons of storage space!

I have a large pantry just off from my kitchen. It is 6'x8' and has saloon swing doors on it. I keep all my food stockpile, microwave, and small appliances there. It is my favorite part of the house. Not only does it hold a lot but it makes putting away groceries so easy. I keep all paper products and hba stockpile in the basement. I plan on building a small stockpile room when we refinish the basement.

My kitchen has very little cupboard space. Dh built me some shelves in the basement laundry room and that is where I keep most of my groceries/stockpile. The only things in the kitchen are boxes/bags/bottles that are open, everything else gets brought right downstairs.

I have a pantry right at the bottom of the stairs. I wish it was right next to the kitchen but it is okay...
