Default my Bi annual trip to Costco

I will be making my big every 6 mos trip to Costco this month - I will spend $400 or less and we have the program where you get a percentage back at th end of the year - usually about $80 (its 10% of what you spend all year - I have been a Costco member since 1978 - when it was still Priceclub and I was grandfathered in to this deal) anyway if anyone is interested I will report what I got for stockpiling and tell you the prices I paid etc. You have to understand though that I buy alot of meat and I do not buy anything prepared so that is why my cost s seem bizarre- I fill both freezers and both pantries with probably 8-9 mons worth of stuff and then I refill on a six month basis. If I could keep Bruce out of the grocery store every month you all would be amazed at what I can feed a family of five for in one year!! But , he has to go twice a week for cigarettes and he actually enjoys grocery shopping!!

WOW! Definitely post your deals. My blondeness is showing again, but is Costco like a Sam's?

Hope you get some great deals Kimmee. I'd love to hear what you got and the prices. I'm always amazed at the prices in the States compared to those in Canada.

Yes, Costco is a warehouse club like Sam's.

We were members when we lived on Maui. I wish there was one within reasonable driving distance for us here! We have Sam's and BJ's, but I miss Costco.

Have fun on your trip and definitely post your deals!

Costco is pretty much the same as Sam's (Costco was first and is much better in my opinion - they tend to have the very best that money can buy for normal people prices - For Instance Sam's will have a $49 Huffy Bicycle - a good deal but Costco will have a $70 Trek with shimano gears and shocks and all the good stuff - Trek is more like a $300 Bike!) I used to have a membership to both for my bulk shopping back when Pace still owned what is now Sam's - I carried it for a year after Walmart got it and then I dumped it - One of my New years resolutions will be to never step foot in Walmart again- talk about a company that screws the Mighty American ethic!!
