One weekend down...a gajillion to go!
Well, this past weekend was the first weekend in a LONG time that we didn't eat out at all. Usually we will do fast food at least once and if we don't go to fil's after church for bagels with the family, dh and dd usually pick up bagels for us to eat here at home.
Well, this weekend, I made dinner on Friday night, we had all meals on Saturday at home, all meals on Sunday at home, and to quell the "we want bagels after church" crowd, I made pancakes and had them waiting for everyone. I made our mashed potatoes from a 5 lb bag of russet potatoes that I got at the store for .99 and all the rest of the food was from the pantry or the freezer.
I realize that so many of you are so great at always cooking at home, but I've not been so great lately and I am REALLY excited about the fact that we made it through an entire weekend without eating out!

WTG Amy!!!!! My hubby has our kitchen all torn up at the moment and I'm fighting the urge to just drive into town and get burgers all around tonight. It looks like it's going to be another few days before he gets the new countertops, my stovetop and sink back in. Guess who still had all her Christmas baking to do.....

Good going Amy. Maybe you'll start a new tradition...pancakes instead of bagels
You can do this, just remind yourself it's because YOU want to do this not cuz someone's telling you to do this. That helps me at times.
