Almost had a dilemma today
Okay, so, I was walking through the cafeteria at school today, and I realized I had a quarter in my pocket. I pulled it out and went to put it in my bag. However, I was passing a garbage can and was about to toss out a tissue I held in that same hand. As I put my hand over the can to drop the tissue, I felt the quarter start to slip out of my fingers. In that split second, I totally wrestled with myself about what I would do if that quarter fell in the trash can.
It was 8th grade lunch, which means there were two other lunch periods full of garbage in that can already, and I knew that quarter wouldn't land on top. If it fell in, I would have had to dig for it. Also, there was a cafeteria full of 8th graders who would have certainly stopped what they were doing to see their teacher digging through the trash. Still, a quarter is a quarter, and my change jug at home was going to need every quarter it could get!
Luckily, I was able to use my dextrous fingers to hang on to the quarter while dropping the tissues, and in the end, I did not have to make that difficult decision.
But, ladies, I gotta tell ya... I think I would have gone for it!My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

That reminds me of something that happened years ago when we were in Mexico. I have to back up and say that I always just buy cheap sunglasses..ok. But this once I bought some nice-ish ones. They cost about $20 or so. Well I was in a bathroom (so to speak) in Mexico, pulling up my shorts, had my glasses on top of my head. Yep, you guessed it, when I bent over my glasses fell off and plopped into the ultra nasty potty. I just stood there and thought....hhhmmmmmmm....welp, there goes THOSE sunglasses.
Just couldn't bring myself to fish em out....with no bleach on hand. I think I would have gone for the quarter in the lunchroom though Amy......
(didn't mean to hijack the thread.....sorry)

Lol, Amy! We are a unique bunch! Most people would have been able to let it go.
Speaking of potties, my purse slipped of the back of a wiggly, yucky gas station on once, splash! I had no choice.
