what items do you use less of to be frugal?
I'll just name one.
Soap. I use a bath puff so use less soap.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. Laundry detergent....I had read before that when you do a load of laundry, the soap stays in the clothes so that when you do the next load there will still be soap in them.

My haircare products, because they are so expensive. I use Alterna and Nick Chavez. If I have a day where I don't care what my hair looks like, don't have to leave the house, I just use what dh and the dd's use.....Suave

Sugar--- I've cut the amount of sugar in most of my recipes by 1/4 to 1/2 without any noticeable difference in the taste or quality of the recipe.

One thing.......... fabric softener sheets in the dryer. I don't use them at all and haven't had any problems.

Laundry detergent- I use half the amount unless I am washing DH's really dirty and greasy clothes, then I use the recommended amount.
Dryer sheets-I cut them in half and they cut static just as well when I have to use the dryer more in the Winter time.
Meat- DH and I eat red meat about once a year and I never buy it. We eat chicken once every one to two weeks and lean ground turkey once a week. All other meals are vegetarian. Better for us that way anyhow.

Laundry detergent, fabric softener, meat in casseroles.
I don't buy baggies and paper towels, too.
Less water to wash the dishes.
