Default A step in the right direction

Woohoo! I have been wanting a new digital camera. Mine is good for emailing pictures, but not much else. It has no flash, no zoom etc. I take tons of pictures and spend a lot on processing, since I get doubles for my scrapbooks.

I found a new off brand digital on ebay. It has the MP I need, a digital zoom, flash and the capability to do black and white and sepia. I know this camera is not a long term investment, but I needed something with more capability. I cannot afford hundreds of dollars for a high end camera. I know I will have to move up eventually, but I will save towards that.

I just sold some things from my purging on ebay. My mom gave me $50 for Christmas to get myself something. Between what I sold on ebay and the $50, I only had to take .69 out of my bank account to pay for the camera - shipping and insurance included!

This is such a major step for me. I would never have thought anything of buying a more expensive camera and tossing the charges on my CC. So, I get a cheaper camera for the meantime, and I pay cash!!!!

I am proud of myself - LOL!

Congrats to you! What a great deal! I was able to get a digital camera last year for my birthday using money I got from relatives and from dh. You'll enjoy it. I'm also a scrapper.

WTG - DH and I bought our first digital camera together - my first, and his second. His first one was actually 6 years old! (It has a whopping 1 megapixel). It took a long time to convince him to actually research models first, but now that we've had it a year he's still more happy with it than any of the newer models. And I made him pay cash - it was almost $1000! We saved up for over 3 months to get it.

I'm sure you're going to love your new camera!
