    Thumbs up SUPER frugal meal

I made dinner tonight at a very low cost. We had roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and corn. How was it cheap? Here you go!

Turkey--free from work as our Christmas gift.
    Potatoes--about .15
    Gravy--.28 for mix
    Corn--about .50

It was even cheaper because I cooked the potatoes and corn on the top of our fireplace insert! I have enough turkey left for at least two more meals and I just put the turkey stock I made in the sunroom to cool (it's unheated and colder than our fridge!). I figure that our meals for the next few days will be almost free! Yeehaaaww!

We are having leftover turkey tonight. I am adding salad and rice and another veggie. Dinner will probably cost aout 1.50!

We must be on the same page this week, I made turkey casserole with homemade stock from leftover (frozen) turkey carcass. 1 can of mixed vegtables .33, turkey that was left on the carcass and 8 biscuits .40. Not only that I now have 6 cups of that same stock frozen for future sauces and gravies. And another 1 or 2 turkey meals.

Well, I didn't do the second meal. DH and DSs wanted turkey sandwiches, deli salads and green salad instead. OK, I can do that! Last night we made turkey soft tacos and tonight DH made a turkey/broccoli alfredo with linguini. It was YUMMY! Tomrrow night? Turkey barley soup, salad and biscuits!
