breakfast idea
this might not be the most nutritious breakfast, but it breaks the monotony of traditional breakfasts. here, the store brand cake mixes are .72 a box.and for a cheap breakfast idea, this works out well.when the Houseapes get tired of the traditional breakfasts like eggs, oatmeal..you know, normal stuff for morning eating,I let them have cake . our oven can bake 4 13x9" cakes at a time,so we bake 4 and put 3 in the freezer for other mornings.its good plain, we use no frosting, and believe it or not, there are a few pieces left over from 1 cake for later snacking. cake is cut into 24 pieces..baby houseape gets 1,papa houseape gets 3, mamma& 8 other houseapes get 2 each (2 left over) along with a glass of milk each and a bottle of milk for baby, this leaves everyone full until lunch.

I remember when I was a kid, my dad would make a cake at night and have it warming when we got up, so we would have warm piece of plain cake and a glass of milk as well... I should try it here... LOL My DH would go nuts!!

Hmmm, eggs, milk, flour. Same ingredients as a muffin or pancakes. Add a piece of fruit and it looks like a well balanced meal to me

lol lol, the definition of many, in our family is 2 parents(mamma& Papa Houseape) and 9 biological children and counting lol
dad 44, mom 39, kids range in age from 1yr-19yrs. alot of fun! I stand in agreement..the cake thing would be the same as muffins or banana bread with milk. many houseapes

Bill Cosby would approve! Anyone remember the episode of "Cosby" where he fed the children chocolate cake for breakfast and he explained to his wife how it contained WHEAT, EGGS, and MILK?!
Cake, ooffee cake, danish, donuts......if it's not an everyday occurance, why not?
Thanks many houseapes!

I make peach cobbler for breakfast. At first my kids thought I was crazy,
but now they like it.
So why not cake.

Wait a minute...I just reread the post about the number of "houseapes". You said 9 biological and counting. Just what does the and counting mean?
