sweatshirts
sweatshirts are good for making cloth diapers, rugs & linings of monthly personals, but they are also good for making sweatpnts for a baby or toddler. using an existing pr of baby's pants, without cutting them up for a pattern, fold them in half and place on both thicknesses of the shirt. pin. trace a pattern, twice, adding a 3/4" seam allowance for the butt & legs, a 1 1/2" allowance for the leg hems & casing at the top.if hand stitching, draw a 3/4" for a seam guide. sew pieces together and measure baby's belly for length of elastic. using 1/2" elastic, thread through top casing and secure.hope my instructions are not too confusing
