    Default You Did What?!?!?!?

So, this morning, I say to Rob, "Do you want a sandwich for lunch or do you want the leftovers from last nights dinner?" He says, "Oh...I forgot to tell you...Rodney (this guy who he used to work with) called and wanted to get together for lunch. So, we went out." I said, "Okay," but in my head, I'm thinking..."Grrr...spent money! But, hey! I win the wallet challenge this week!" Then he says, "Oh...and I put $20 in the lottery pool at work."

    WHAT?????

$20 bucks on the lottery? That is SO unlike dh, I was floored. Needless to say, we had a small discussion and I doubt THAT will be happening again!

Hmmmm I wonder how small that discussion really was.

Glad you won the challenge though.

Well Amy, if you win the lottery you'll be talking out of the other side of your frugal mouth..... Good luck, I hope you do win.

Isn't it amazing how our sweet DH's minds can sometimes turn to mush when we are not there to keep them on the straight and narrow. My DH is bad about wasteful spending when I let him go to the grocery store without me lately. He went to pick up a few items Sunday evening and spent $45

one day while I thought he was safely away from temptation (he WAS AT WORK!!) Erick calls to say he bought a surprise. So he comes home with three bottles of some super duper as seen on tv cleaner concentrate. That he bought off a door to door salesman who'd targeted the office. To the tune of 100.00. I about killed him. And the stuff doesn't even work!!

My total sympathies. My dh is constantly wasting, er, spending money for little things, especially grabbing a quick bite when he has the kids. Argh!!!

Ut oh is what came to my mind but don't feel bad, my DH does that too once in a while and I get upset but can't get too mad... he works hard for us so him spending money once in a while isn't too bad UNLESS it gets outrageous, ya know?

I was thinking the same thing. There seems to be a quite a bit of bumping of old threads lately.

It might be 3 years old, but it is relevant. I can see my DH doing that BUT he doesn't drive - I have to take him to work and pick him up. I also don't let him have $ too often. LOL He does have the debit card though. Hmmm.... Maybe I need to make that disappear out of his wallet.
