Cool My DH said he is sooooo proud of me!!!

I just had to share my happiness with y'all.

I did a major coupon/sale run to Kroger at midnight two nights ago and did pretty well, I thought.

I got items including the Ragu 10/$10 (but I had 3 35¢ coupons, so it was actually 10/7.90), Hormel Pepperoni 10/$10 (same as Ragu, I had coupons!), 1 roast, 2 pkgs chicken, 3lb sausage, 3lb hot dogs, cereal, and other high ticket items.

    Before coupons: 142.26

    The real breakdown:
    Coupon Savings: 20.74
    Doubled Coupons: 10.35
    Kroger Sales Savings: 51.21

    TOTAL SAVINGS: $82.30

All items were stuff we'll use anyway and will freeze or are canned. With two exceptions: it also includes 4 bottles of shampoo and 3 tubes of toothpaste (all for my stockpile.)

Not only all the above, last night I was able to pass on some "free" shampoo to someone who needed it and had no money. Made me feel good to help, even if it was just a little bit.

Kimmie..........alright, which Kroger did you go to, cause I went to the one on Campbell Lane last night to get the Hormel Pepperoni's and they were completely out.......... I also had coupons for them. But I managed to get AquaFresh Extreme Clean Whitening Toothpaste for .06....LOL. I had a coupon on my Kroger card, from www.upons.com for a $1.00 off and a coupon for another $1.00 off, it was on sale for $2.00, so all I paid was the tax.........

    WTG on the great savings.........

Kimmee, isn't that funny? My good friends call me Kimmie, and I go by that on most boards I read. That's alright about the twin thing -- I always wanted a sister! My coupons are in a plastic posted check storage container. I always look like I'm carrying in a make-up case, but it works for me. It also contains clothes pins (to weigh down the ones I'm going to use. I learned that after walking under the heat vent and all my coupons spread to the four winds. It also has markers, pens and a calculator.)

Roxy, I think that the service desk can issue rain checks. It's worth a call. I can't guarantee it, though! We should meet for coffee or something. It is so funny to run into another villager the very first week I'm on this board!

The Kroger 10/$10 sale is AWESOME! I went last night. I had .50/2 coupons for the Ragu, when doubled it brought those down to 50¢ each. I also had a bunch of coupons for the Ocean spray Cranberry Juice Cocktail (I love that stuff) after coupons, each 48 oz. bottle was 50¢!!!! They have Kroger coffee in the 13 oz. cans for $1 too. So many bargains! This is a sale to not be missed if a Kroger store in your area is having the same one. Some other things for $1 at Kroger this week:

    18 ct. extra large eggs
Kroger 16 oz. cottage cheese and sour cream, and 12 oz. cheese singles
    18 oz. Kroger Peanut Butter
    Zesta Saltines
    Hormel Chili
    Kroger Sherbet ½ gallon
    Assorted Kroger Spices
Kroger Toaster Pastries 8 ct. box
    and more!
