Talking My DH has seen the light!

And I am SO excited about it! I have been struggling for SO long to exsplain to him that HE spends so much money every week that he doesn't have to. He goes out to lunch EVERYDAY at work and sometimes takes people he works with ect and so forth, he always foots the bill because he's the boss. Well this week when i got home from grocery shopping he was home and he says "Wow how much did all that cost?"

    I took a deep breath and i told him..."$28.31"

You should have seen his face Then I said "Yep I'm goig to feed this whole family on less than $30 for a week and you can't even go a day without spending $30...Hmmmm $30 x 5 days a week=$150."

His response "Well gee why don't you up the grocery budget"

Me "Well I could up it $150 a week if you took your lunch to work everyday "

He was quiet. It was wonderful! Then I exsplained to him that if he even spent half as much then that could go into savings. I wouldn't increase the grocery budget because we're not starving now I would SAVE that money Sometimes I think that men are truly from Mars

WTG! True spouse conversion is very, very difficult - especially for men.

Wow, that's great! Don't forget to reward him though. Positive reinforcement really does work with those Mars types
