Default I'm a little too excited over the price of milk

It was on sale 3 gallons for $5. I picked up 3 and have been a little too happy over it. lol Milk prices have been crazy here and this was a nice surprise.

You know, I never really noticed how much more expensive 2% milk is in comparision to whole milk. So, I've started making my own 2% by mixing half whole milk and half dried skimmed milk. I turn one gallon into two!

The gas station below my house has it one special about once or twice a month at 2 for $5, other than that it is $2.99. I think its around $3.29 in the store so for the difference I get it at the store when it isn't on sale and after you buy 6 you can turn in these "Milk Money" vouchers for a free gallon (this same store also does the same with Ice Cream....it has to be the store brand though, but hey, free is free

Lucky you. We have to use the special milk due to dd lactose intolerance and it's never on sale. We started out just using the special milk (Lactaid) for her but now we all use it. It's easier to use the same kind and that way we don't slip up and give her the wrong one. Congrats on the good find - hope they have it often.

I just paid $3.89 for a gallon the other day, I'd be happy if I could find it on sale for 2/$5.

3 for $5! That is worth celebrating!

It's $4 a gallon here in town. I got some 30 miles away for $2.58 a gallon though, regular price.

    That's a great buy, Sara.

Our milk is expensive but I always buy it. Half a gallon of local milk costs $2.50, you can get crappy supermarket milk for $2 but the taste is horrible and it's not as fresh as the local milk.
