Fully funded emergency fund????
I've been reading a lot on these boards lately and sometimes I read that a goal is to have your emergency fund "fully funded". What/how much is a fully funded emergency fund???
We have 5000 US dollars in ours.

Cecilia I think Dave Ramsey recommends 3-6 months living expenses.
~This is what we are personally working towards in our personal finances:
~1 year's living expenses set aside
~1 about 1/4 for emergencies
~ approx. 6 months wages for our hired hand set aside...
We are self employed and you never know when things will get tough. We would just sleep so much better at nite if we had this money set aside and where we could get to it if we needed to. After these things are done we want to start investing in our retirement funds more heavily.
It's really a personal decision you make when you start to grown in your financial freedom. Whatever you'll be more comfortable with in your own life and whatever you need to feel secure.

Sounds like you are off to a great start though!
