cheap quilt backs
for those of us who love to quilt, many have probably done this........My granny gave me a ton of cotton material; all of different sized pieces. what I couldn't use for clothing, i stitched together to make huge "sheets" for quilt backs. and although the prints were all different, the backs were just as interesting as the quilt tops. a few other cheap ideas are to go to your local thrift store and buy flat sheets in good condition to use for your quilt backs. i pay $1 per bedsheet, and $3-4 for blankets that i can use for quilt guts. also a flat bedsheet in good condition can be material for clothing, or curtains.

I agree. Sheets are wonderful to use for the quilt backing and I've made many a pair of curtains from them as well.
