Default My goal: is it possible?

We might be able to purchase a home in 24 (soonest)-36 months (latest).  My goal is to save a use my dollar bill tin, change jar and penny challenge as a surprise fpr ,y DH to pay for our appliances for the home. (Fridge, washer and dishwasher) I'm going to skip out on the dryer because we don't use one now so I'm not going to start spending $$ when we do have a home.

It's going to be around $2000-2500. Because i want eco friendly models. Do you think it is possible to pay out using the $, pennies and change jar?

    Hi!

    What a neat goal!
If you have 24-36 months to save it, I would say yes it is possible. Remember to always NEVER SPEND CHANGE. Break a dollar, and add your change to your jar, that way youll be saving ALL the change you get. and Pick Up Every Penny you see Even if its tails up

    GOOD LUCK!!

Even if you can't buy all of them this way, you will be able to buy SOME of them! $800 over 24 months is only $66 a month. that's about $2 a day.

Don't forget to pick up any pop bottles you see and return them to the store. It WILL add up!

I have been looking at washers and dryers at Sears and they have some nice ones not fancy for about $200.00.
I think it was the same for dishwashers. So its very doable(if thats a word )lol

I saved my rebate checks for a year to start my own savings account for all the little extras when we bought our home. It only came out to be about $230.00, but knowing that I had that little cushion was great.

SURE you can do it. I save the vast majority of our change, straight into the pig it goes (I have a 2.5 foot tall glass pig jar) -- about once a month, or if we're short I count change. I average about $75 a month.

If, in the spring, I have accumulated a good bit of change and the bills are paid, the money from the pig is my flower/garden money. It's well known in this house that pig change is HANDS OFF!
