Smile Dh is getting frugal :-0

    Never say never. lol
Well, I wanted to share what my dh did, all on his own.
He stopped by our cell phone center and got a lower plan, after
going over the minutes we use each month. He saved us
    $35.00 a month
Called our cable co. and complained about how high our bill
as gotten and they offered him a $25.00 savings for the next three months because we have been with them since 1995.

We have also figured out our Latte Factor, from the book
Not to late to Finish Rich.
I hate to admit our factors. We started drinking our home made coffee.
A savings of over $8.00 a day, yes I hang my head in shame!
$56.00 savings a week, well modestly.

Oh and another stupid thing we have been doing is paying our
car ins. monthly with a $5.00 fee-each month. Ten payment plan=
    $50. Homeowners paid quarterly $5.00 fee=$20
YIKES, I didn't notice how high our monthly fee has gone up.
Now we are paying up for the year with a savings of
    $70.00

Wow, their is so many places to put the money back in our pockets. We're still working at this, yet so happy to say we are working together.

I hope this is encouraging to someone else. Jan

That's great! It is so much easier when hubby is involved in being frugal. My husband's been helping alot; saving reciepts and saving when he can. He could improve in some areas (but then again, so could I)

    Jan....

GOOD going! That's so awesome to hear.

There are nameless books, articles & so-called experts on savings... but I have to say, you can read them all & talk to them all and think "wow what a great idea" & never implement whatever you hear/read.

But when you do it yourself or you know someone (friend/family member/coworker) you're relatively close to who's done the same thing you may even have thought of yourself... it just goes to show you that it definitely can be done.

You are motivation for many of us out here in cyber-world to do what we should've been doing all along but didnt have the initiative or perhaps didn't know about (like your insurance fees)!

    Thanks & great job!

    Sue

WTG! Those little things add up to big savings and you will never believe where all you can find them. I'm proud of you!

Now that your DH is on board, maybe you could do like we do, and celebrate Valentines on Feb. 15, with ½ price chocolate.

DH is more frugal than I am -- I admit it, I go on terrible shopping sprees. But I'm learning, especially from FV. There's so many great ideas! There's always room for improvement.

I didn't know you could pay for everything up front, though! What a great idea! Hmmm...

    Bright Blessings!
