Talking new craze that'll be sweeping the nation

well maybe not. Ask me what i did today, go ahead ask me! I'll wait.

I ironed my couch. Yes, i ironed my couch. Well to be more precise, just a corner of it... Why? I'm glad you asked. The cats shredded a corner of it while showing us the prowess they have with their claws. Pretty impressive. But it left a huge shredded, ragged, gaping hole. So while at walmart i got an idea...iron on patches. I found some that were huge, got two (the hole was 4 inches wide by about 8 inches long) sheets of the iron on denim (blue couch). And I ironed it right on over the hole.

It might not be perfect, but i gotta say it looks far better with the patch than it did with the gaping hole.

Ironing that patch on will save me from having to spend to have someone professionally fix or even reupholster the thing. I wanna get rid of it, so i guess it doesn't matter, but with out the huge hole, it'll be more desireable to potential takers. (Not selling it, freecycling it). plus now i know it can be done, i can fix a small hole in our other couch, the one we wanna keep.

Now i gotta get dh to take me to walmart tomorrow so i can do the same to the other pieces that my cats got to. Namely a miniature lazy boy belonging to my ds, and my lazy boy. and the other couch could use it in one spot too.
