Lots of girly tricks and tidbits, I think! I like to see this sort of thing -- making frugality seem something more than cheap old women and scuffy old men squeezing the last bit of mayo out of a tube.

Bright Blessings!

I read the one 'Poor Girl in the Ivy League.' I have wondered if my kids would feel that way, if ever they managed to get accepted to an Ivy League school.
DH (who has his PhD from a state university) surprised me by saying that, if ability and inclination justified it, we'd somehow scrounge up the money for an Ivy League education for our kids.2012 Knitting in progress

I went to a very expensive private college, (of course I was one of the students on financial aid and held a part-time job while I was going) and make friends with a wide cross-section of "rich" and "poor" students. I can remember mulling around one night "Could you live for the rest of your life on a million dollars?" and one of my friends (EXTREMELY well-off) just said "of course not. You'd go through that in 3-4 years." What I couldn't believe was that he was actually serious... some people just have different perspectives, I guess.

Sarah, Did you feel snubbed/excluded by your upper-income classmates?

Not often, but occasionally - if everyone wanted to go somewhere for spring break, or out to see a movie every weekend - things that I just couldn't afford, but was always invited to anyways.
