What to do with...
I'm wondering if there is anything that I can do with little bits of leftover fruit. You know, that last little bit of fruit cocktail, pinapple, mandarin oranges... that are left over after dinner, lunches, etc. Just wanting some ideas. TIA

Blend with ice, milk, etc for a smoothie
puree and serve over ice cream as a topping
puree, add corn starch to thicken and cook a bit for syrup on pancakes, etc.
dehydrate and make your own trail mix when you get enough pieces.

Those are great ideas.
I was going to suggest the smoothies too.
And also, depending on how often you serve fruit, put them all together in one bowl & have a fruit salad.

You could also put them all together with some cool whip and jello and make a jello fruit salad/dessert.

I was going to say put them in a jello, too.

If you're making pancakes, throw the extra fruit in those--my kids love them!

We never have any left either, but I have friends who put them with cottage cheese.

Popscicles!! I used to save the bits and throw them into homemade popscicles. My kids love them. I used to keep several small yogurt containers in the door of the freezer and throw in the bits. I could "sort" them according to how I thought they would blend together. I would use the juice from the cans of fruit or milk or I would throw the "bits" in the blender and make a sorbe type of popscicle of just fruit.
You can also use them to make pretty desserts if you layer the fruit with pudding, whip cream, or yogurt (put them in a clear glass, cup, or bowl to make them really festive). Cut them into little pieces and use them as "sprinkles" for yogurt or vanilla pudding. Use them in a trifle.Beak-1996, Toad-1998, and Q-1998
