My frugal hobbies include dumpster diving and shopping at the curbside mall. I am doing laundry right now and can visably see that I have trashed enough summer clothes for the kids and husband and now, it is time I look for winter clothes. I look in my living room and suddenly realize that the couch, the lazy boy, the ET center, the rug all came free from the curbside mall. I didn't have buy any of it and it is all very nice. I look in the backyard at the kids play toys and realize that if it wasn't for people throwing away wonderful stuff, I wouldn't have any of it- because I couldn't afford to buy ANY of it.

This is my Frugal hobby and I am proud of it.

I love going to yard sales and thrift stores even if I don't have the money to spend I like looking around. Also, I love reading how-to-save-money books and my favorite the Bible.

I love going to yard sales and flea markets. One of our local thrift stores is open till eight on Friday evenings and I love to look around in there. I spend most of my free time either cutting coupons or online finding freebies. I just love a full mailbox!

My favorite frugal hobby is surfing the coupon boards and getting freebies. I've gotten tons of stuff I would have never been able too. Remmeber the good ole days when every store had a $10 off no min. I have a whole Barney video collectiion for around $2 per video. I miss those days!!! lol. Oh well, bye the way....my favorite book is the Bible too. The only thing in life that we are garanteed is that we all will die a one point.

My favorite hobby is quilting and although it isn't frugal, I've made money on it and have given them as gifts.

I also enjoy painting crafts dh makes with free wood. Now that is frugal.

I like to do crafting.... I make many of the gifts I give ...There are alot of them listed in "The Country Sampler Forum", it's a quite and inexpensive hobby.... I love to do recycling crafts...Make things from jars, yard sale finds, scraps ect...... Cooking is another frugal hobby, lots of really great recipes here too !!! I use the community cookbook and the "Country Kettle Forum" You are in the company of FRUGAL PEOPLE ! If it's here it is no doubt a frugal recipe or idea.....

My hobbies are garage sales, bargain bin shopping, thrift stores, watching and scouting for the best deals available on everything. I also love to make bracelets - the stretchy ones- from garage sale jewelry. Has anyone here ever tried scherenschnitte? I may have misspelled it but it's the German paper cutting craft from days of old. It is sooooooooo cheap and you can make some beautiful gifts from paper. I like to put mine in garage sale frames for gifts.

Mine would have to be yard saling and thrift store shopping. I get most gifts this way, and decorate my house, and clothe my family and...well the list goes on.

I also like to help friends organize their homes. I get a great sense of satisfaction when their house is all neat and clean...AND I ALWAYS get a whole bunch of cool stuff!
