Super saving questions
I have a few questions for you super saving ladies.
How do you get so many copies of one coupon?
How do you end up getting some products free?
When you want to do a rebate and they need the receipt, do you purchase products seperately so each item has its own receipt can you photocopy the receipt?
I also printed pages to make a price book, i just dont really understand how to use it? Any explanations & help would greatly be appreciated !!!!
Thanks

If there are alot of good coupons in a particular week's Sunday paper, I will buy an extra one or two. I also buy coupons from a clipping service. The one I use is www.dabsforms.com I think the prices are very fair, and the shipping is always 85ยข, no matter how many I buy. You can try asking your friends, family, and neighbors for their coupon inserts, too. Some people even take them from the trash or recycling bins.
The way I get many items free is knowing WHEN to use your coupons. WAIT for a sale, if at all possible. Shop at a store that will double your coupons!
I also get a few free item coupons in the mail. I look for these freebies on line, or sometimes I will e-mail or call a manufacturer's toll free number to tell them how much I love their product. I tell them when I am unhappy with a purchase also.

Thanks Deb, I've never heard of a clipping service. I'll look into that. I've also called manufacturer's to praise or complain. I called a manufacturer about a cough syrup i liked but couldnt find in stores anymore and she told me what stores should have it and that she would send me some coupons for it. Well a few days later i got a full bottle of the syrup in the mail. that was a surprise. I dont always get the freebies i sign up for. But, i'll keep trying. Thanks for the help.

How do you get so many copies of one coupon? I buy additional papers, ask my MIL for hers, and pick them up at the local school which gets the Sunday paper too.
How do you end up getting some products free? I make sure to check all the sales papers and match coupons to sales. You can get alot of health and beauty products, pasta, frozen items, and more free. I do shop at more than one store though. Some people live where they double the value on the coupon. I do not, so I have to really shop wisely.
When you want to do a rebate and they need the receipt, do you purchase products seperately so each item has its own receipt can you photocopy the receipt? If I purchase different items for different rebates, I politely ask the cashier to ring the items up separately. I have never had a problem with anyone saying no. Also, I don't think photocopies will be accepted unless it states that on the rebate form.
I also printed pages to make a price book, i just dont really understand how to use it? Any explanations & help would greatly be appreciated !!!! I don't really have one, though I know I should. Check out this link...... http://www.stretcher.com/stories/05/05mar14c.cfm

I also trade for them. When someone online has something I need I trade for it. There are quiet a few people on this site that have coupons to trade. Look in the Coupon Trading Post forum.

Up to $1.00!! You are so lucky. I hope you take advantage of it.
If you go to Walgreens, take advantage of the FAR (free after rebate) items. Each month they offer a new rebate. If you combine coupons with the FAR items, you end up making money!!~*Michelle*~

Also don't forget to check out the great full size freebies sometimes listed on the internet. So far this year I have gotten a full size shampoo, two free razors and many other items. These freebies can also help to strech thin budgets!

I wish we had a Walgreens! They offer some great rebates! I have never heard of anyone wanting the Betty Crocker points, but the BTFE (Box Tops For Education) that are usually right next to them on products, a lot of ladies will trade for. HTH~~ Dee ~~

One more thing about saving with coupons, it PAYS to be ORGANIZED! Find some way to file your coupons, and cut them every week, don't let them stack up. I have used different methods of coupon organization, and each has its merits. I have used a file box with tabbed dividers, an accordian check file with 12 sections (this has the advantage of fitting into your purse, so that you ALWAYS have your coupons with you), and am currently using the "binder system" of coupon management. I always take my binder into the store with me, even if I am going into Target or Kmart. You just never know when you might find an unadvertised special, that you have a coupon for, making it free or very cheap! I got 14 free tubes of Aqua-fresh toothpaste at Target one day, when I went in to pick up a prescription (and a FREE $10 gift card for transfering the prescription) I just happened to see them on an end-cap next to the pharmacy, they had been marked 50% off, to $1.24 each. Well, lucky me, I just happened to bring my binder in with me, and knew that it contained SEVEN COUPONS for $2.50 off 2 tubes of Aquafresh!
I do spend at least two hours a week cutting, filing and pulling out expired coupons. The payback for that two hours is pretty good, though. I save at least $30 a week ($15 an hour), with coupons. Sometimes it is a lot more. I almost never have to pay for the following, well except for sales tax, which in Kansas, we pay tax on everything!
Shampoo
hair spray
hair color
lotion
toothpaste
deodorant
I love Walgreen's! Check the Walgreen's stores frequently for unadvertised clearance specials. You can use coupons on these, too.

Thank You for all your wonderful info. The Walgreens is soooo close to me, I will start going there more. The grocery store i like to shop is a bit expensive. So I'm going to try and shop more at other grocery stores. i do have a divided binder that will fit in my purse so my coupons are coming with me now.

About the "expensive" store. My favorite double coupon store is an "expensive" store too, but they have great sales! I shop ONLY the sales! Learn to recognize a very good price when it comes along, and STOCK-UP! Stockpiling is the only way I have been able to keep our grocery budget under $250 a month.
Good Luck!

WalGreen's FAR offer is so easy, and fun for me-- I like to try new products for free! I go in every month with the list and buy all the FAR items. WalGreen's will also let you stack coupons-- use one of the coupons from their ad plus a manufacturer's coupon- I get some great deals that way.
I also use this site: www.thecouponclippers.com to buy coupons and forms when there's something really good out that I want a lot of. Coupons are often $.08-.10 a piece there, which comes out to be a great deal if I'm getting free toothpaste or deoderant by using those coupons.
It's hard for me to find forms in my area, so I also buy or trade for those.
I used to use a lot of Betty Crocker points, and still collect them when I want a new piece of Fiesta ware. I don't generally trade for them, but, I'm sure there are others out there who might want them. You can also use them yourself to get a discount on items in their catalog.
