The Instead of Thread . . .
In an effort to spend less. I was thinking we would all brain storm and think of things we could use that is cheaper then buying the expensive store brand. For example,
Instead of expensive deep hair conditioner try olive oil. It's a great hair treatment.

instead of pricey whiting toothpaste use baking soda!

Instead of expensive cleaning products use a baking soda and vinegar solution or bleach and water.

Instead of fabric Conditioner Use hair Conditioner ( if you only "condition" the odd item, like me
)
It makes them smell really nice too!

Instead of plastic wrap over soemthing in the microwave, save the waxed paper from cereal boxes and use that!

Instead of clarifying hair treatments to remove build-up....use cider vinegar. RINSE WELL!

Instead of turning up the heat if you're really cold in a certain room, wrap up in a blanket (with extra clothes and socks on) and sit with the heating pad for a while. Cheaper than heating up the whole house.
~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

I freeze just like the next person, but the other day I had on a fleece pull over and Joe had the heat up. I turned it down and he started complaining about being cold
he had on shorts and no shirt 
Instead of turning on the lights during the day open the blinds or curtains.
