Save money----Bring your lunch!
This is one I struggle with from time to time. You can sure save a lot of money by bringing your lunch to work or even on outings!

I totally agree. I figure we saved a good 100$ bringing the food for 5 meals with us on our get away this last weekend for 5 of us. Dh amazed me too when he suggested instead of buying 5 cones at the resort at 2$ a piece we got to the grocery and by the 1.88 1./2 gallon of icecream and a box of cheepo cones and just buy 1 cone for me that was sugar free since the rest of them would all eat the regular icecream.
It wasn't a huge saving but it all helps! Plus none of the 4 guys complained a bit about having to eat the whole 1/2 gallon!

Eating a pork roast sandwich made from yesterday's roast right now for lunch. I'm trying to pack everyday.

My in-laws eat a lot of frozen dinners (individual servings). I've asked then to save the containers for me and at the end of all of our meals I divide them up into single serving portions and store them in the freezer for either lunches or dinner for the kids on really busy nights. Right now we have anything from Fettucini alfredo with green beans to hamburger and fries. Since I work full time I take these to lunch everyday. I always reheat in a different dish and use press and seal to cover. Wash and reuse.

I have a hard time doing this, too-- I only work two days a week, and those lunches with my friends are a nice break. We always eat fast food, but, I spend anywhere from $7-12 a week for those two lunches. I really should take my own instead.

I save about $20 a week by bringing my lunch. Eating in the hospital cafeteria is very pricey and the food quality is extremely poor so I have been bringing leftovers or picking up Banquet frozen dinners when they have them on sale 2/$1.00 at the grocery store. I love eating lunch for .50

Bringing my lunch is the best money saver. I tend to like a lot of ethnic foods so when I get take out it's usually expensive.
So now I just cook more ethnic at home and bring the leftovers for lunch. Mmmmm!

I almost always bring my lunch to work - for me, its a great way to use up leftovers. I do also buy canned soups and frozen dinners when they're on sale, its a quick thing to grab in the morning if I don't plan my lunch out the night before.

I've been guilty of buying my lunch every day -- and I still do once a week when I meet a good friend. But I now try to bring a lunch, especially when I am trying to "diet". Otherwise I am too tempted by the delicious desserts in the cafeteria line, or the "combo" at a fast food stop.
The other benefit is the great $$$ savings!
