Sony Handycam
We have never had a camcorder but we do now.

Ryan has begged for one for so long. She loves to play with my boss's digital camera that has video ability. So yesterday, Ryan and I were at Walmart getting pictures developed. Sitting there on the counter was a bunch of digital cameras and camcorders in the boxes with sale price tickets on them. Some of the digital cameras were down to $50 (but we already had one of them). I asked about them and was told that they are the clearance or display models - still under warranty. So, I bought a Sony Handycam still in a sealed box with plastic overlay for $150. Ryan was so happy. She came home and read the instructions and figured out how to use the thing within an hour. Amazing. She spent hours taping and retaping stuff last night.

Ryan taped herself doing homework tonight. I told Mel that if it helps to get her homework done without a hassle, it's the best money ever spent.
