Default What are your portable snacks?

If you're out on errands with the kids (and/or DH), what do you take for snacks?

I just take about 3-4 bottles of water, no kids to worry about.

I keep a few generic nutragrain type bars in my purse. Keeps me out of the fast food drive throughs when things get to rumbling.

I don't have kids, but I always have water and almonds with me. The almonds prevent me from eating junk food.

I try to always have a bottle of water and now I'm starting to keep crackers with me. My kids are older, so I usually don't worry about them, since they aren't with me.

fruit snacks and granola bars...but DH and I aren't a big fan of either so I'm going to have to come up with some stuff for us on the trip down to SC this summer.

Water, coffee, crackers, cereal bars, animal crackers pretzels and apples. If I have grand daughter I also take raisins and juice for her. DH also likes to take a cooler of soda if we are going for a longer drive. Sure saves vending machines along the turnpikes!

No kids here either, but I have to keep things handy to eat on the way to work, or there. Always seem to be running too late to sit down and eat a meal before heading out. I like this thread; I need more ideas, too.

    String cheese
    Little Debbie cheese/pb sandwich crackers
    Yogurt
    V8 juice in little cans
    Pretzels, in ziploc bags
    Almonds here too
Individual applesauce, fruit or fruit/gel cups (have to remember some plastic spoons)

For me, it's usually soda and sometimes water.

For DD, I always have raisins, craisins, or fruit snacks in my purse. We keep some animal crackers or dry cereal in the car for her, too. And she carries ice water everywhere (literally-- from one room to the next) she goes.

I always eat befoere I run errands. If I'm going to be gone more than a few hours, I bring bottle water and nuts/dried fruit with me.
