lurker finally joining with survey question
Hi everyone! I am a 23 year old pre-physical therapy college student who is very frugal out of neccessity! I have been lurking here for about a year and now I have question o fmy own. I have joined some online survey sites(free) and many of these places offer cash/points for trial offers. I am afraid that i will not be able to end these offers and get charged. one of these sites is panda research- does anyone know about these offers or have experience good/bad. Thanks!

On another board I frequent, someone just asked about Panda research. If I recall corectly, the response was that they jsut send out spam.

I personally had a bad experience with a survey site who promised a large gift certificate if I tried out a sponsor offer to get a free credit report and a trial monthy report from that sponsor which you could cancel before 30 days so you wouldn't be billed. I had to include my cc number. BIG MISTAKE!!! I couldn't get them to cancel it! I never got the gift certificate. I never got the credit report. I did get a $70.00 charge on my CC two months in a row untill I was able to get hold of the company (finally) and stop the withdrawals and was not able to recover the $140.00. That was 2 years ago and I've never signed up for any survey sites since. I do pinecone but that's safe and doesn't require any personal financial info.
Not all of the survey sites are a bad experience but I am too gulible (sp) to do them.
Good luck and hope the ladies here can steer you toward some good and safe sites."Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibity."
