Anyone belong to a food co-op??

I've read so much about them and would LOVE to be able to find one in my area. Crossing my fingers for next season though. I would love to be able to get fresh fruits n vegs right from the farm. Anyone have any exp with these?

No because I live in a rural area so we buy direct from the farm alot

oh u lucky dog! I'm going to try to hit a Farmers Market with a friend this weekend. I've never been so I'm looking forward to it.

I'm in Michigan. You can try the Royal Oak Market, haven't been to it, but I know there is one. Also, there is one in Mt.Clemens, Eastern Market in Detroit, Armanda, just to name a few. My sister and brother-in-law have expanded their vegetable farm so they'll be selling down in our area soon. I'll post when and where they'll be.

There is an organization called SHARE available in many areas. Type in 'SHARE food program' and it should list some for your area. Anyone can participate and you get food for up to 50% off. I just learned about it and think I am going to do it.
