Default internet site to find frugal stores

i just started working an hour away in a bigger town about 6mos ago. now that im "kinda" settled into the job--i want to maximize my time there. so i went on the web this morning to check out the kroger ad (they have one, the one in my town closed down) and got to thinking about what other good stores might be there. **thankfully i have a thrifty coworker who has clued me into one thrift and one consignment store already**

i finally found a search engine that would list the stores and addresses:

    http://national.citysearch.com/?

i went to the site, punched in "shopping" in the keyword field and my town's name & zip, then hit search. on the left side i picked out the categories thrift and consignment and after that discount. it gave me names and addresses of the stores and also a button to click to get a map (which is from mapquest) ive already written down the stores i want to look for (now just to be energetic after work to check them out LOL)

i also got to thinking.. next time i go on a trip somewhere, i could use this. the thrift/consignment stores would be really fun (and frugal)  to check out in a new area.

I tried the search like you said to do but it didn't even come up with the local Goodwil, Salvation Army, and the other church sponsored thrift shop in my town.
