I'm usually too chicken to try this... I hate having to argue with cashiers. I might do it, though!

This has worked for me at Target and Meijer, no arguing from clerks. I love a good $1 coupon that doesn't specify size!

I know some stores won't take $1.00 coupons on .99 items. Any problems with this at Target?

I have never had a problem. If you do get a cashier that complains, tell her to just enter it as 99¢ instead.

Thanks for this list. I went to Target today and got several trial size products, and the $1.00 coupons worked fine on the .99 items.

so far i've only had problems with riteaid and the 1.00 coupon on a 99 cent item. usually the clerks at target are too busy to pay attention to the price of the item and compare it to the amount of teh coupon.

I have had some good and some bad experiences at Target doing this. Some managers understand that when they redeem the manufactures coupon they get face value PLUS .10 , some are .08.

The coupons will beep, most cashiers at my local Target know they need to hit the K1 button to override. Other times they will need to call someone over. It is worth a shot for those who are nervous to try.

Last year I ended up with 50 bottles of Tide for FREE!! They were the 4 load bottles, but I was able to stretch them out to about 6 loads. Not too shabby for FREE!!!!

    I LOVE COUPONING!!!!!

I have used these at Target and they do accept them however they check each one carefully and normally put in the 99 cents or whatever. I dont mind that but I hate the coupon police attitude some of the cashiers get. Oh well...for free I guess I will put up with it!
