Tips For Paying Yourself First!

Yes, I agree. Those are basic, good tips. I bank at two banks. I'm paid weekly. I automatically have $300 deposited into my savings account. Usually, I've had to transfer money from the savings into the checking. I'm not paid in the summer, keeping my money in the savings account insures that I'll have enough money to pay the bills in the summer months. This year, since I'm being wiser with my money, I plan on keeping the money in my savings account.

I keep my emergency money at another bank. This bank isn't used to pay bills. So far, its working. I did have to use some of the money last month, but I've replenished it with more money.
