9/26 - $18.62 on chinese take out.  I know that is a lot, but it lasted 2 meals for DH and 3 for DD and I.  And I'm pregnant and had a major craving.

    Thanks for keeping me honest

I went to the grocery store and as I was about to get out of the car, I realized that I forgot my pocketbook - no credit card. So I used the hidden money I keep in the car $30. For the times I forget my pocketbook and need gas and/or a bite to eat. I used to work and park in a parking garage and not having money was a desparate situation.

Anyway, having a spending limit, plus a limit that was less than I was intending to spend was interesting. I looked at my list and asked myself what did I REALLY have to buy. And I couldn't just toss stuff in the cart. In the end I spent $23 bucks. I did have a harder time parting with cash. That was far less than I would have spent with a credit card. They do say you spend more with a credit card (even if paid in full) than with cash.

I should shop more often with cash. Especially for Xmas.
