    Default Direct Buy

I keep seeing these infomercials for Direct Buy, a company that allows consumers to buy household furnishings at wholesale prices. Has anyone used their services and if so were you satisfied? Is there a fee to join and if so how much? What is their showroom like?

DH & I went to have a look at it. They showed us a little movie and to join was $4,000.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, keep in mind that is in Canada but still. That is a lot of money and I didn't even know if I would like their things as I didn't get to see the show room. I did get to have a tiny tour of some furniture.

One thing I really didn't like was that they told us we had to sign up right then and there. We couldn't think about it and come back next week. I don't like that kind of pressure.

Tlhanks, I had a feeling they would try to pressure me into coming up with a lot of upfront money.

$4K, now that is really crazy! I guess if you were building a brand new house, you might see a return on your investment, but that seems a little tad expensive. Gee, it makes the Sam's Club Membership seem really cheap!

Shell, you were right to be suspicious. It's a bad idea to deal with anyone who tells you you have to sign up straight away. NO reputable business will do that.
