Repaired glasses
I broke my glasses the other day. It was the frames that broke near the nose piece. The last time I lucked out and the frames were under warranty. This time I wasn't as lucky. But instead of trying to sell me new frames or even a whole new pair of glasses when my prescription hasn't changed, the eye doctor sent them off to be repaired. He says he makes no money off repairs - just charges me shipping and the repair cost. So it came to $22.
Not bad considering I thought I'd have to get new glasses.

Glad you could get them fixed at a nominal fee.

My Ds has broken his glasses numerous times. He is visually impaired and neeeeds his glasses. The wonderful store we have dealt with have always fixed them free of charge and it would only take about 30 min. They have always been so good to us. Ds last pair of glasses they gave to us free over the cost of insurance which would only cover $100. My son needs sunglasses because his pupils do not react to light and so sunlight hurts his eyes but he can't use clips because the lens on one eye is too thick and another set of presciptions are too expensive. So the store threw in transitions for us free of charge. So the glasses were free to us. We were so greatful. Ds made a great thank-you card which we delivered along with banana bread to the staff. The card is still hanging on their wall!

I understand ds broke his glasses a week after warranty ran out luckly they went ahead and honored the warranty and gave him a whole new pair free even lenses I thought it was great. The last time the kids had there eyes checked found out that the eyes hadn't changed glasses were still under warranty so they just ordered them a whole new pair, so that they had a new pair for a year, which helped alot I love my eye doctor. DS went to contact this year and they really aren;t that much more then glasses and he is taking care of them.
