Default Do you have a price book? Please post it!

Is there anyone out there willing to post their price book online?  I'd like to see how prices compare throughout the world.  Also, it would help me see if I'm really getting the best deal.  I'm just getting mine together.

Hi Shannon. I have a price book but mine is an address book - so that I have my categories in alphabetical order and I can have it in my purse when i go shopping. Sorry I can't post it for you to look at. I can answer questions about prices if you have something specific you're interested in.

I found it a real pain to start my price book, going through all those dockets and writing it all down but I continue to upgrade it whenever I do a big shop and it's been the most wonderful aide to shopping. I see it as the database of prices the stores would prefer I didn't have.

Rhonda, The price you paid for tuna seemed expensive. I like the Albacore tuna in water. I can usually get it for between $1-$1.25 when it is on sale.

Shannon, all our prices are more expensive. I have lived in Europe and have relatives there now so I know their prices are similar to ours. I believe America has the cheapest food prices in the western world. I know you all probably don't think you do, but compared to what we're paying, you have it made.

BTW, that tuna was at half price.

    LOL!

I just thought of somewhere you can look at our prices. When I don't shop at Aldi, I shop at Woolworths for the things Aldi doesn't stock. Check out their online store, if you go to "Browse our Products" on the left, it will allow you to look at all their products with prices. These online prices are slightly more that store prices, but they are only slightly more. Make sure you're sitting down when you do it.

Mine is in my head now! I can even tell when a price has gone up (as I have noticed at Sam's recently). Since we buy mostly organics, it's not difficult for me to keep up with. If there are any prices you're curious about in particular, I can post them.

Samantha, did it take you long to get your prices entered into handyshopper? Did you do it with the receipts or while you were shopping?

    TIA

I just use excel on my PDA, but no it didn't take long. I just used the receipt when I got home and putting away the groceries. I have noticed I buy alot of the same items, so it was easier than what I thought.
