    Question Qestion about fleece?

Is there a difference between polar fleece and just fleece? Are my babies Carters fleece sleepers as warm as LlBean or LandsEnd polar fleece sleepers?

Different question, but any way to keep a one year old's head warm at night? He wore hats last winter to bed, but won't keep them on now. He hasn't grown much hair yet. Poor little guy!

Polar Fleece is a trademark of Malden Mills.
There are different thicknesses of fleece.
The other thing to look for in jammies is are they fleecey on the inside - some aren't. LLBeans are by the way. I believe Carters might be but years ago they weren't.

We always put a t-shirt on underneath the jammies - just another layer.

My daughter was incapable of keeping blankets on. We used a sleeveless sleepsack on her. She did learn to walk wearing it. As she was 18 months at the time, my SIL had to make it as the stores don't make them that big.

If you put the hat on him after he's asleep (like when you go to bed), would that work??

Thanks! The kids (age 2 and almost 1) wear a onsie, a cotton sleeper, and then a fleece sleeper as the "blanket." The two year old seems fine. She has grown some hair (lol) and does sleep with a blanket but it's usually next to her or under her. The baby hasn't grown much hair and his cheeks are always cold to the touch and some times his legs are too. He's been waking up at night too and I'm wondering if he's cold.

I'm wondering about getting some llbean ones. I think they are still having free shipping. Maybe I could get them big and they could wear them two years.......

I do like the LLBean ones better than the Lands End ones. We've done both. My son had them, then my daughter wore them - my SIL replaced the bottom of the feet on them for us.

My kids definitely woke up due to being cold. Actually we discovered this when we went away for a weekend at someone's condo. The condo had zone heat and we turned the heat down in our bedroom and not his. Then to our amazement he slept through the night. Then it dawned on us. And we came home and put a space heater in his room - which we used only at night.
I think the space heater will work better than new jammies.

Also, they were a bit thicker than Carters, but if you can sew at all, I'd make the sleepsack - and this you can make real thick as you are the one buying the fabric. Make it sleeveless - it is easier as well as it is real hard getting those squirmy arms into the sleeves. You could do velcro or short ties instead of a zipper.
Or you could buy one. Buy big as it is mostly only length.
These are microfleece - so they are the thinner of the fleeces.
