    Default Savings on Dry Cleaning

DH likes to get his work shirts laundered & pessed at the dry cleaners. When I was working it was ok w/me. But now that I'm not working I have plenty of time to iron them myself, I'd be saving $32 a month. Except he says it's not the same done at home. Do any of you have any suggestions on what startch I can use to get them as crisp as the cleaners does? The startch I buy at target, is not cutting it. I'm thinking, maybe I can try a commercial startch, and if so, where would I buy it? Another thing might be my iron. It's a $7 iron. Any suggestions, please comment.

Tell him to stop being a spoiled brat and be happy that you are willing to go through all the fuss for his work clothes
Then explain that over the course of the year you are spending over $300 on his shirts and mention the new toy or tool or whatever it is that he likes most, that he could spend that $ on instead, this is what we discussed a few years back when we went through this-I use Niagra brand starch, no softener in a cold wash and generally hang dh's shirts to dry. I tell mine to get over himself if it isn't to his liking, but I don't pride myself on being very nice either.

Try liquid starch. You mix it with water and put it into a spray bottle. Follow the instructions for heavy starch.

I'm with Jerseygirl. If he doesn't appreciate your efforts he should do it himself. My husband does his own ironing now.
