What Is The Secret To Refunding?

I've read of women who consistently refund several hundred dollars per month, yet I can only manage to get about $5.00 in refunds. What is the secret and how much time and effort is spent to achieve this?

Stacey, I've found that a lot of these women are buying products that I don't use in order to get the refunds. Refunding is certainly a way to get free items, but as someone said in a previous thread about couponing, if you don't use the item, then it's really not worth it. Some people will refund and save up the free stuff for garage sales. Then they make a profit. I'd rather not pay the initial money out of pocket if I don't have to.

Also, you have to be incredibly well-organized to refund. When I do a refund, I send in the form and receipt and upc as soon as I get home from the store. If I don't, I will undoubtedly forget about it and will have wasted money on the product. I think the people who refund hundreds of bucks a month spend hours of time on finding refund deals. I just don't have time for that.

My MIL used to refund for her job. It was just that a "job". She had everyone she knew keeping their UPC's from everything. She had tons of reciepts. She was very organized. She received money refunds and ALOT of goodies. You really have to have the time and room to organize it all.

I know there are some great newsletters out about just refunding too..
