What I did with my change I saved this year
I saved around $108 this year in change and I haved bought a couch with this money. The thrift store I go to had a 50% sale and I bought a couch. It was $119 after taxes. The couch was origanally $225. The couch is in excellent condition! Not a stain on it or any sign of wear and tear. It's like getting it out of the furniture store. Drastically needed a couch. When I throw my couch on the curb a dog wouldn't even lay on it. LOL ! This makes me want to be more aggresive next year to save as much change as I can so if I need something else that is a necessity I can use my change instead of digging in my savings.

Good for you.I've been thinking of what to do with mine too.I have quite a stash of wrapped coins as credit union doesn't have a coin counter. There is honestly nothing that I need. After I move next month,my rent money will go to pay off the credit card.Three months should take care of that.Guess I'll continue to save until something special comes along

Yes, it does feel great. Didn't want to really spend it, but it definetly was a necessity. The couch should of went a long time ago, but with unexpected emergencies I just didn't have the money. Just got very lucky to find this couch! It's going to feel funny to sit on a couch and not sit slanted due one of the legs almost off and the other side being held up by boards.

WTG! You've motivated me. I've been saving change, but have a habit of dipping into it for things when I'm short cash. Now I'll roll the change as soon as I get enough for a roller. That way I'll be less tempted to dip into it for other things. Our change jar this year bought us a new set of front steps!
