Credit card "checks"
Give your cc company a call and ask them to stop sending them to you. I just did and now have one less thing for theives to get a hold of and I cut down on some junk mail I'd have to shred.

i guess it depends how you use them, my mom is paying down her debt..and is doing really well..her interest is about 18% the checks they send her are for 6% or 4% for 6 months, so she transfers the max allowed from mc to visa or back and forth...in the past 12 mon doing this...she's paid less than 100$ in interest instead of waaaay more, so more go on principle

Good idea, Darlene. My cc company periodically sends these and it's annoying.

I agree about the convience but they aren't just easy to use for us they are easy for the bad guys out there too! I hate the silly things and it kinda scares me that they are available. I've also found that if I'm transferring a balance I'm offered the same deals online as the checks.

That's a good idea. I just shredded several of those checks today, along with 4 credit card offers. That was just today's mail. I'm tired of the constant shredding.

i agree--those checks scare me!!

i always tear them to pieces as soon as i get them. im sure the temptation get the better of some people and that's why they send them out so much. i get tons of credit card offers and i always tear them up too just in case.
i think that identity theft criminals should get very harsh sentences.

It infuriates me that they send those things out. I think we made them stop sending them years ago when I first realized what a liability they could be.
