What do you use for a change jar?
I was just curious what you all use to store your change in.
Dh bought a huge plastic jar full of cheese balls a while ago. This thing is ridiculous! lol
I could save a heck of a lot of money in there but it's gonna take forever.

We have a clear glass cookie jar- well it's decorated, but you can see in it. Hard to explain, but it works for us.
When it gets over 1/2 full, I alway worry about it cracking or the bottom falling out. So far it never has.

Years ago, when dh and I were just dating, I had bought him an enormous plastic Coke bottle that was a change bank. (Seriously...the thing is almost as big as Patrick) It stayed with us when we got married, and that is what we use as our change jar.

I guess my method is strange - I have a ziplock freezer bag with envelopes for each denomination (penny, nickel, etc.) and in the same bag I have the coin wrappers. On the outside of the envelopes I write down how much change goes in. When an envelope has enough money to roll, I do so and take it downstairs to the credit union.
I think I need to kick this up a notch in 2006 - save all my one dollar bills. Anyone do this?

I use an empty toostie roll bank. About once a month or so I'll count and roll coins up and they go in an empty photo cube box till I can cash them in at the bank.
