Sucessful Phone calls today!

I just had to share my sucess on the phone today!

First call was to my ISP to see if they would give me their low rate for High Speed, since I'm stuck on dialup and was being charged more for dialup than HS cost. They were able to offer me a 1 yr contract, that cut my internet access bill by $8/month.

I then looked up long distance packages and called my long distance provider to see what they could do. I was able to get a flat rate long distance package for less than 1/2 of what my long distance charges have been in the last few months, which will result in a savings of approximately $40/month (ya, I should have called sooner, but this particular package is brand new).

I also managed to get both the Internet and Phone bills put into one invoice so I can pay them together, allowing me to save an extra bill payment at the bank. It's not usually an issue, but on a busy month we sometimes have more transactions than our bank plan allows, so cutting down on what comes out will be helpful as well.

As much as making these calls can be a bit frustrating, it was so worth it to make them and have such huge payoff for the small amount of time taken.
