Sign up for your local freecycle group. You can go to www.freecycle.org to find your local group. I've been a member for about a year and have received yarn, candle making supplies, cross stitch kits and fabric for free through the group. The flip side is that you also have an outlet to get rid of your own unwanted stuff!
