Default I scored a deal at Goodwill today!

I am so proud of myself - today, on a hunch, I went out of my way to stop by Goodwill. I have been needing to replace a cheap cardigan sweater that began pilling up the third time I wore it. It is two years old now, and disgraceful.

I thought maybe with the holidays and end of the year, that Goodwill might have a bunch of new stuff, and maybe even a cardigan with my name on it. Well, they were having a sale today - all sweaters in the store for only $2.99 each. And guess what I found?

A beautiful brown 100% wool, Italian made cardigan sweater. And even better, it's a bit large (HATE those skimpy trendy things), which I like, so I can layer up underneath.

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!! This would have cost $50-75 in a store, but you can't even FIND this sort of sweater anymore. Time for a happy dance!

And I also got 5 paperback books for .50 each. Four of them I specifically wanted to read, and the fifth I can easily trade on paperbackswap.com.

So I did well today. And this afternoon I am headed to Ralph's to get fixin's for spaghetti sauce in the crockpot (already have home canned tomatoes for it), and some sale chickens (whole) at .59 a pound. Gala apples are also cheap today (.33 per lb).

I will spend some $ today, but it's all bargains!

Good for you. It's deals like this that make shopping fun...and what a frugal shopper you were. In the past, I've found some beautiful sweaters at thift stores. Good job!
