    Angry They must have thought I'd forget...

    We have a satellite dish for our TV. When we moved, we brought everything with us. Normally, you leave the dish behind and they give you a new one, but you aren't allowed to leave anything in the military housing. Anyways, they set us all up at this house, but neglected to tell us one thing--our account number had changed when we moved. So, for 4 months, I was paying the satellite bill onto an account that wasn't there anymore. I didn't find out until the company started to call us in October, saying that I hadn't paid our bill. The thing is, there was no indication of this on any of our bills that we received, until after we started getting these calls. I called them back, and found out what the problem was. I figured, OK, they'll transfer the money that we had paid from the old account to this one, to catch us up. Oh, no, I had to pay what was outstanding, because it takes their accounting department 8 weeks to credit our account! Fine, I pay them, expecting that we would see a credit around Christmas. I got a bill today, and still no credit! I phoned them, and told the guy what was going on. He put me on hold for about 15 minutes while he tried to find out what was happening. Apparently, the answer was nothing! He said the credit would be on the next bill, or possibly the one after, but it would definitely be done!
    I guess they figured if they took too long, I'd forget about it! For the amount that they owe us, there is no way I'd forget!!

    Sorry it's so long, I just had to vent!

    A certain DISH company (the name ends in "network") tried to charge me $100 for some random dish part that I KNEW I included in the box I sent (even though this part was already ON the dish when I had my service connected) and kindly took 4 months to pay me back. Worst part was that they charged it to my debit card, almost making me bounce my rent check! Needless to say- they will NEVER get my business again Good luck!

    I personally would not have paid those jerks. They messed it up, let them figure it out. Grrrrr...

    This is exactly what I would of done if I was in your shoes.. First document the date,time, whom you spoke to..ask to speak to the manager explain the problem and that this has been months now..and you want your money back now..you have waited long enough ! If they are still giving you a story about not being able to reinburse you or give you credit in your next bill.. Tell them you are going to file a complaint with the The Better Business Bureau or The Attorney General.. and follow through with it if you don't get anywhere.. You will get you immediate results either way.. and I gaurantee you will never have any problems with them again. Good Luck!

    Thanks for all the replies! I'd love to kick them to the moon, but this is the only satellite company here that has a hockey package. That was the whole reason we got this, was so DH & I could see all the hockey games that are televised. I know, we have no life!
    Anyways, I am going to keep on them, and let you know what happens!
