Default How much will you pay for tuna?

Normally I wait until Lent when tuna in a can goes on sale for 4 for a $1. I am noticing though that sales just aren't what they used to be. So what do y'all consider a good price? Also there are so many different types of tuna. What is the difference in the cheapo and the more expensive albercore tuna? TIA!!

I am lucky if I can get them for 3 for a $1.00!! I have no problem buying the store brand and only buy tuna in water. I will not pay the price for Albacore though ~ It's very pricey

I can't remember the last time we bought tuna in a can.

I will strickly eat albacore in water and as it is the only 'fish' I eat, I will pay $1.39 per can but generally get for 89¢ to 99¢ a can. That is a small can, 6 ounces I think.

The lowest I've every gotten tuna is 39¢ a can which was a one-time promotional at a drugstore. Usually the price (on sale) is 89¢ per can.

The lowest I ever get tuna anymore is 39c/can for the chunk tuna in water. Dh, however, will not touch any tuna unless it's albacore. he used to only eat "solid white albacore" but I've gotten him used to chunk white albacore. I usually get it for 80-90c/can (6oz) and luckily he doesn't eat it much.

I'm Canadian, so I doubt my prices compare well. I eat tuna in water. I can get it for 50 cents Cdn. per can, but usually it's around 70 cents Cdn. per can. I stock up at the 50 cent price.

I only buy the albacore tuna so I buy it when it is $1.00 a can. The most I'll pay for it is $1.40 a can. After eating the albacore tuna, I now only purchase this kind.

The cheapest here is 48 cents a can, and that is their everyday price... I won't pay any more than that, and that price is for name brand tuna, just don't remember which brand.

50 cents is the going price for the store brand, water packed tuna here and I won't go higher than that.

Wow, I wish there would be a 4/$1 sale here!
