Red the inserts in your bills
I have had a calling plan with the telephone company for unlimited nationwide long distance and local calls for 59.99 per month. They started a new plan for the exact same thing for only 39.99 per month. I would NOT have known this if I had not read the insert in the monthly statement. Called and made the switch and will now be saving 20.00 per month. Certainly worth a minute to read the note and call them.
Read those inserts folks!

I agree. ALWAYS read the fine print or inserts in everything you get. It only takes a few minutes.
It also goes the other way too. Our phone plan was reduced by $1.95 and looked good. However in fine print, we were being charged $1.95 for a different fee. So, in actuality it wasn't a decrease at all.

We once got a free month worth of cable service, including the internet, by paying attention to the insert with the bill!! So ITA!!

I agree! Make sure you read the inserts. The same thing happened with my cell phone company. I noticed on an insert that they were offering the same plan I already had for $10 a month cheaper. Of course I called and received the new, lower rate. It was worth taking a minute of my time.
