    Default Grocery store success :)

Dh got paid (his first pay check of this new job) so we went to Price Chopper because they have a good meat stock up sale and they had a couple of other things that I had really good coupons for that made the item free or nearly free, or just a really good deal.

I just have to share, since I did so well last night!

    Here is what we got/paid:
Wise chips were b1g1, regular price is $1.69/each. Plus I had a coupon for $1 off 2. PLUS there were three coupons in the store flier for "Double ANY Coupon". They normally only double coupons up to 99c. So I got $2 off with the coupons. I got 4 bags of Wise white cheddar popcorn (the large bags) for $1.38 total, or 35c/bag

Malt-o-Meal cereal was on sale for 10 for $10. I had coupons for 50cents off one, and they double that. I had 4 of those coupons, so I got 4 bags of cereal for free

Weaver Chicken patties were on sale (12ct) for $4.99, the sale flier had a store coupon so you could get them for $3.99, I had a coupon for $1 off 2. Plus I had another of those Double ANY coupon coupons. So I got 2 bags of chicken (24 total) for $6.98 That's about a dollar cheaper than the commissary and I didn't have to drive all the way out there, pay the 5% surcharge that the commissary charges (no tax on food here in NY state), or tip a bagger (required at the commissary because baggers ONLY get paid by tips). This is one of those "convenience meals" I don't normally buy. But these two bags will be at least 3 meals for us, plus with dh working until 9pm two nights a week they work for quick meals for him.

We also got whole chicken for 89c/lb (cheapest you can find it here), a whole ham for 99c/lb, and red grapes for $1.28/lb.

I was just so excited to get some good deals finally!

Ours doubles all the time too, but usually only up to 99c so if you have a $1 off coupon it doesn't double. Just recently they've had the "double ANY coupon" or even better "triple ANY coupon" weeks in the sales fliers. I really try to take advantage of those

    Thanks ladies
