We ordered pizza and we didn't have to.

Dh was working on the plumbing the basement yesterday. All day. He was having some serious trouble and had the water turned off to the whole house - so he told me. So dinner time came and he was still down there and I can't cook because we don't have any water. So I finally just ordered pizza.

We were eating dinner and I said something about how we really needed to flush the toilets and wash hands, it had been all day. He looks at me confused and said "the cold water is on" WHAT? I went all day thinking that we had NO water, which is what he said, and then you tell me that the cold water was on the whole time? I did not have to waste $21 on pizza! I could have just cooked like normal.

I was very frustrated, but didn't say anything, because he had been working so hard all day on this project. And he is saving us money by doing it himself. I had to pull that out of my grocery budget and now it will be tight this month, it already was really. I think I am going to talk to him about using some of his lacrosse check towards groceries this month, instead of going to the basement fund like we had planned.
