Yes, both the girls do. They already have more $ than I had as a teenager.

Yes...both Julia and Patrick have their own savings account, and as soon as the baby is born and gets a SS number, we'll start one for him/her as well.

Both girls do. It's just another tool to teach them to avoid the credit mess that we were in.

We just opened savings accounts for our 3 yo son and our 5 yo son today. They've been working steadily at saving their money for quite a while now and so off we went to the bank today. They were so excited!

Forgot to say that the baby (8 months old), didn't get one because she has no money yet.

My daughter does not, but I buy her savings bonds periodically. She does have $100 saved up right now, in my savings account, and will be taking it with her when we go visit my Grandparents next month.

No regular savings accounts. Each kid does have a college 529 plan. So grandparent birthday money and such goes in there. Plus we contribute $75 a month to each kid's plan.

Yes, I opened their accounts before they were a year old. All their b'day & Christmas money goes in there, and I roll all my change jar coins and deposit them in their account on their birthday.

They also get savings bonds on their birthday from both grandmas.
